Creating a System Leadership Community in Leeds
You are invited to become part of our Systems Leadership Community for Health and Social Care in Leeds. Please choose from one of the dates below, this will be followed up with a second session in February 2019.
Session Dates:
25th October, 9.30am – 3.30pm at St Gemma’s Hospice, 329 Harrogate Rd, LS17 6QD
13th November, 9.30am – 3.30pm at Mencap Leeds, 20 Vinery Terrace, Leeds, LS9 9LU
21st November, 9.30am – 3.30pm at St Gemma’s Hospice
Objectives of the whole work:
• To grow a connected community who have people of Leeds at the heart of everything we do.
• Bring our partnership principles alive and embed them in what we do and in our services
• Be clear about what it means for me as a Leeds city leader to embody local population-leadership
• Grow and developing as leaders ourselves
• Where good things are happening, fan the flames
Objectives of the first session:
1. To connect with the shared understanding of the city’s ambition and vision
2. Understand how our individual work contributes to the overall city ambition
3. Share stories of system leadership ie when people have taken responsibility for outcomes and worked across the system
4. Develop shared understanding, and co-ownership, of what it means to contribute to leadership in Leeds
5. Develop connections and relationships between people –begin to form our system leadership community
6. Raise awareness of the collective power in the room
