The Cedars has been operating as a care home since 1981. Based in Methley (South East Leeds) we are in easy access of the motorway networks of M62 and M1 and we are a five minute drive from Castleford and/or Rothwell (as well as ten minutes away from Leeds city centre). Hence we provide services to both Wakefield
and Leeds Social Service Departments.
The Cedars is part of the Leeds City Council Quality Framework and is an Investor in People organisation.
The Cedars is situated in approx. two acres of grounds and we care for 42 older people, most of whom experience dementia and/or mental health difficulties. The location means that there is ample opportunity for
residents/service users to feel the benefit of taking time outside in terms of enjoying the fresh air and opportunity to exercise, including the dementia garden and the growing of our own vegetables etc!
